Join us for Fort Leonard Wood's Independence Day Celebration, Army Field Day, and our Nation's 247th Birthday! Event will be held at Gammon Field. 

Enjoy bounce houses & various activities, food, music from the 399th Army Band, and a performance by Destination Dance! All of these fun activities lead up to the Grand Finale of the largest fireworks presentation in Central Missouri! 

Open to the public. Please, no pets or personal coolers. 

 

Don't forget to register your cars, trucks, and motorcycles in the 4th of July Car Show held at this event as well! 

 

Timeline of Events:

  • 4 pm: Venue Opens
  • 4-7 pm: Car Show
  • 4-8 pm: Activities Open
  • 5 pm: Disc Dog Performance
  • 5:45 pm: Destination Dance Studio Performance
  • 6:30 pm: Disc Dog Performance
  • 7:20 pm: Car Show Trophy Presentation
  • 7:45 pm: 399th Army Concert Band
  • 8:30 pm: Celebration Ceremony / Salute to the Union / National Anthem
  • 8:50 pm: 399th Army Rock Band
  • 9:30 pm: Fireworks Spectacular

 

Events on 4 July are open to the public - patrons need a Real ID -OR- State Issued ID with secondary form of ID such as:

  • US passport or passport card
  • Certified birth certificate (not photo copy)
  • Social Security Card (not photo copy)
  • School ID card with photograph (High School & College age students)
  • US military or draft record (DD Form 214)
  • US Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Card
  • Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
  • US Native American tribal document
  • NEW VA health card
